Sectra, the Swedish IT and medical technology company, has received FDA approval for its analysis package for cardiovascular imaging. The application provides physicians with analysis functions for quantifying arterial stenosis and overall heart function, including tools for Quantitative Coronary Analysis (QCA) and Left Ventricle Analysis (LVA).
The new cardiology analysis package joins a family of focused clinical solutions, extending Sectra's core PACS offering and meeting the specific needs of healthcare specialists.
"This approval strengthens our position not only as a PACS provider for radiology but also as a provider of clinical applications to meet the specialized needs of today's physicians", says Hans Lugnegård, manager for Sectra Clinical Applications program.
With Sectra's cardiology application physicians get access to specific clinical tools designed to support the diagnostic process, increase the reproducibility and improve workflow efficiency.
