Praxisgemeinschaft in Kapuzinerkarree, a large private radiology institute in Aachen, has ordered Sectra's new digital mammography system, Sectra MicroDose Mammography™.
The Praxisgemeinschaft in Kapuzinerkarree is committed to high quality mammography and follows the strict European guidelines for quality assurance in mammography screening. With use of Sectra MicroDose Mammography the radiology institute will offer the women in the region of Aachen, the neighboured regions in Belgium and the Netherlands a significant reduction in radiation dose.
"Looking for an appropriate direct digital full field mammography system we have chosen Sectra's MicroDose Mammography. It is the only system on the market able to fulfill our needs such as doses requirements, image quality and workflow", says Dr. Go and Dr. Keulers, Mammography Specialists at Praxisgemeinschaft in Kapuzinerkarree.
Sectra MicroDose Mammography is an easy-to-use digital solution that supports the entire workflow, from examination to documented diagnosis. The system provides patient friendly design, outstanding ergonomics, unsurpassed throughput and customized workflow. The system's excellent performance is due to the workflow optimized design and the fundamentally new digital detector that enables dramatically reduced radiation doses without compromising image quality. This is an important factor in mammography screening where large numbers of healthy patients are examined.
The unique level of performance is confirmed by the successful use of the MicroDose system in clinical operation at the Klinikum Krefeld in Germany and in mammography screening operation in the Swedish municipal hospital in Helsingborg.
"This is the third German order for our new Sectra MicroDose Mammography system. The Praxisgemeinschaft in Kapuzinerkarree is the regions trendsetter in the mammography area and the women in Aachen join now the women in Krefeld and Munich in Germany and the women in Helsingborg, Sweden in benefiting from the lowest mammography radiation dose on the market", says Dr. Andreas Keizers, President Sectra GmbH.
