The IT and medical company Sectra and SyntheticMR AB, which develops analysis and imaging methods based on synthetic MRI (Magnet Resonance Imaging), have signed a distribution agreement for SyntheticMR AB’s software-based technology for significantly improved patient flow and analysis of MR examinations.
In accordance with the agreement, Sectra will distribute SyntheticMR’s software, SyMRI Suite, as a plug-in in its PACS system (Picture Archiving Communication System).
“With SyntheticMR’s software as part of our PACS system, we will significantly increase not only the efficiency of the actual MR examinations, but also the effectiveness of the radiologists, through enhanced possibilities for identifying pathological tissue,” says Torbjörn Kronander, President of Sectra’s medical business. “The agreement with SyntheticMR strengthens Sectra’s offering in MR and gives us an advantage in a rapidly expanding market.”
