Klinikum Deggendorf was one of the first hospitals in Germany with a film-free radiology department.
In the fall of 1998 Philips Medical Systems, the main contractor, delivered and implemented the system in partnership with Sectra.
The clinic in Deggendorf is a mid-size hospital with 70.000 radiology examination procedures per year. The efficiency of the hospital has increased significantly since it became film-free.
Today, the radiology department, has the amazing average of only twenty minutes from examination to final report. It is a good example of how well the Sectra PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) software works, and the high level of reliability it offers.
