Sectra ImageServer™ digital storage
The Sectra Image Server product family is designed to store image data in a secure and effective way. It is crucial that images are accessible throughout the enterprise at all times on any workstation.
With Sectra PACS, image data is stored on either distributed or centralized digital storage and archiving devices, so called ImageServer systems. The Sectra image server concept makes it possible to locate relevant information and images close to the users, giving them quick and transparent access to all data form any workstation connected to the PACS. With its modular design, Sectra PACS, with the workstations, the WISE flow manager and the ImageServer system, can be tailored to
meet the requirements of any radiology deparment set by e.g. load, network topology, and other factors.
Different solutions for different needs
Sectra ImageServer™ come in three different versions used for different purposes, supporting different media:
- ImageServer™/s
- Short-term Storage
ImageServer™/s is an online (short-term) storage solution, supporting storage on RAID solutions, to obtain the highest possible level of speed and security.
- ImageServer™/fs
- File System Storage
ImageServer™/fs is a file system archive supporting archiving images and radiology information on standard file systems. This is the perfect solution for archiving on RAID or when using a SAN or HSM as a back-end.
- ImageServer™/xd
- DICOM Storage
ImageServer™/xd is used for archiving on an external DICOM archive. It could e.g. be used for integrating Sectra PACS to an external DICOM storage provider. Routing the images through Sectra PACS and using ImageServer/xd for archiving can guarantee full data integrity also on a Write Once/Read Many archive. Supports seamless integration of DICOM storage with Sectra PACS as well as quick and secure access to images and image data.
