The Clinical Application Interface (CAI) makes it possible to extend the functionality of a Sectra PACS workstation using third-party applications. Numerous such applications have been adapted to work on the Sectra PACS platform and the number keeps growing. A specific Sectra PACS workstation model includes the ability to install and run a given number of clinical applications (usually one). The workstation can be equipped with several Clinical Application Interface packages and each package makes it possible to install and run two additional clinical applications.
