MIM®, developed by MIMvista Corp., is a software package developed for the review and fusion of medical images. The versatile, user-friendly software operates on Windows 2000/XP and displays image volumes from multi-modalities including PET, SPECT, CT, and MR from virtually any manufacturer. MIM provides Assisted Alignment technology, a high-speed automatic fusion process that accurately aligns two datasets in less than 10 seconds, without the need for corresponding point selection. MIM provides unparalleled functionality as an image review workstation for the analysis and fusion of images acquired on both separate scanners and derived from combination scanners. MIM provides unmatched efficiency and time saving features.
Also available as add-on packages are: MIMcontouring, which greatly reduces contouring time with PET/CT and MR auto-segmentation tools, as well as the ability to contour in all planes, including sagittal and coronal; MIMneuro, which is a fully automated and quantitative PET/SPECT analysis package assisting in the detection of various neurological disorders including Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias; and MIMcardiac, which provides advanced visualization and quantitative analysis of ischemic and infarcted tissues of the left ventricle.
MIMviewer Referring provides remote viewing, and MIMviewer Diagnostic provides advanced image review and manipulation, of PET, CT, PET/CT and SPECT/CT image data, for interactive sharing with patients and colleagues.
The integration of MIM and MIMviewer display software with Sectra PACS allows endless possibilities on one workstation. Any combination of images archived with PACS storage can be loaded to MIM for enhanced visualization and fusion. This seamless integration can also provide referring physicians with capabilities ranging from simple information, such as annotations on images and rotating MIP movie loops, to more complex resources such as DICOM RT STRUCTS and fusion image volume reviews.
