Enterprise-wide 3D. AquariusNET is a DICOM compliant network rendering server, employing a central server / thin client architecture. The server streams 2D, 3D, 4D images to any networked desktop or notebook Windows-based PC across the enterprise. Frames are shipped “on-demand” to the PC based on mouse commands, and many PCs can interact with image studies resident on the server concurrently. This is a very cost effective way to distribute studies with hundreds
or thousands of images each around the hospital enterprise via LAN and allow interactivity and manipulation of images remotely by any connected physician.
The AquariusNet client plug-in gives physicians access to the advanced 3D image processing tools provided by Terarecon’s Volume Pro 1000 powered AquariusNet server. The plug-in architecture allows Terarecon and Sectra to provide seamless workflow and reduced capital expenditures, when compared with stand-alone solutions.
AquariusNET is a very flexible platform that provides immediate access to 3D visualizations of CT and MR data. It allows 3D visualizations to be rapidly provided to places where it could never go before. The distributed nature of AquariusNET does not tie us down.
