OBserver is a complete OB/GYN reporting system with an optional, fully integrated, PACS component. OBserver is engineered to handle the even most demanding ultrasound departments, including high risk, high volume perinatal and maternal-fetal medicine practices. Designed with a focus on ease of use, rapid data entry, automation and customer configuration, OBserver enables the customers to tailor the system to their own environment. The release of OBserver 7 takes the system to new levels of functionality with significantly enhanced reporting and imaging capabilities and custom confi guration options that effectively give the user the ability to design their own program to precisely meet their needs.
The system uses an industrial strength database for performance and reliability while the imaging component is fully DICOM. HL7 interfaces are available and OBserver 7 introduces support for DICOM Modality Worklist in both client and server mode. Many of our sites are associated with universities that value the extensive research capabilities of the system on the reporting and imaging side.
With OBserver 7 Vision Chips introduces the ability to communicate with Sectra PACS. Features include the ability to instruct Sectra PACS to load the images for the exam that is currently displayed in OBserver and to also load the exam information for the images that are currently displayed within Sectra PACS.
I am very pleased with the f exibility in reporting formats that OBserver allows. One of the most powerful features is the built-in ability to create, store and retrieve frequently used text comments. Within 2 weeks of having OBserver installed, our transcriptionist noted a 60% reduction in work volume. One month after installation, our transcription needs have been reduced by 80%!
