Mammography procedures follow the same workflow as other exams within the RIS. The optional mammography module includes: BI-RADS Assessment Coding, selection of multiple patient follow-ups, automatic generation and tracking of patient lay report letters, protocols for patient recall and follow-ups via letters, emails or generation of patient lists for physicians, statistical reporting and analysis tools, electronic pre-screening and medical history questionnaires, and diagram mark ups.
Additionally, Sectra RIS tracks breast density, biopsy concordance, the name of the surgeon and when he/she was notified and by whom, multiple tissue diagnosis and secondary pathology results for each breast side. Sectra RIS accepts pathology results via an HL7 interface, or results can be entered manually.
