IDS7/qa is an advanced multi-modality workstation preferably installed adjacent to the examination room. With IDS7/qa, technicians are able to check image quality and image presentation immediately after exposure. Display Protocols automatically display the images according to the radiology department’s preferences and, without delay, the technician can pass detailed presentations to radiologists, thereby enhancing their efficiency and securing the workflow. IDS7/qa allows for more resourceful utilization of personnel and examination rooms.
Prior to an examination, previous images from all examination rooms can be quickly and easily retrieved and displayed at the workstation. This facilitates comparison with the new examination. Consequently, since technicians have full access to the complete history of the case, they know exactly what images are needed and thereby avoid exposing the patient to unnecessary radiation.
Through close RIS integration, IDS7/qa also presents detailed patient information and history, enabling the technician to provide better, more personalized care.
For the purposes of urgent interpretation and consultation, images can be forwarded to a specific workstation at another department or at another hospital or clinic.
If patient names do not correspond or if images have been incorrectly imported the technician can efficiently correct the information. IDS7/qa also features stack tools and special rights to change default image settings.
